MENU AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS

As soon as you login in, this is the menu screen of PUBG Mobile. It is rather simple and easy to navigate. As you can figure out, hitting the big 'START' button on the top left corner of the screen begins the matchmaking process instantly. 'INVENTORY' at the bottom of the screen allows you to equip and remove any inventory from the character you see on the screen.

The button below 'START' allows you to choose the map of your choice before you begin the match.

The PUBG store is available on the right side of the screen portrayed by a shopping cart icon where we find many many items for sale which can be used to customize your character.

Welcome to Call of Duty Mobile's main menu. I have to say i was honestly quite confused as to what was where initially. Everything felt a little cluttered in my opinion and took some time to figure out how to navigate through this menu.

The bottom right button 'QUICK PLAY/MULTIPLAYER' takes you to a lobby where you can choose your game mode and your preferred load-out for your character and hit 'START' to begin the match.

The 'STORE' icon on the bottom left corner of the screen takes you to the Call of Duty store which too has no short of customizations available for both guns and characters.

GAMEPLAY

PUBG Mobile offers a fantastic and fun-filled experience made using the Unreal Engine and is the platform by which the game was developed. This offers more realistic visuals to the game.

It offers both first person (FPP) and third person (TPP) POVs which are very useful depending on what type of angle you'd prefer to play the game in. Movement of your character feels very precise (for a mobile title) and does not feel like the character is running too fast or too slow.

The shooting experience on PUBG is greatly refined and feels easy to maneuver your aim towards an enemy and lay him to rest (given you're a pro)! There are also a vast variety of guns for you to pick from. Like any other game, PUBG Mobile works best with newer devices giving you a more enjoyable experience.

CoD Mobile is a newer take on the mobile FPS experience. It is a battle royale like PUBG but it is also a multiplayer straight shooter several other game modes. It also makes the user feel like the marine you are in game because there is so much more complexity in gameplay such as variety of load-outs and add on abilities offered to you in the game. We have elements such as UAVs and Helicopters which we do not find in PUBG.

It is a more modern gaming experience overall, more seasoned gamers will prefer this style of gameplay. The movement of your character feels a little as if the character is rather gliding around the map rather than moving around by footsteps (This is something that will not disrupt your gameplay in anyway).

The shooting experience is absolutely fantastic and they have managed to recreate the classic Call of Duty style shooting experience from the consoles into their mobile version. This game too is resource hungry and the better device will inevitably end up offering the better experience.

GRAPHICS AND SOUND

PUBG Mobile: PUBG Mobile offers fantastic visuals along with a refined light source. Newer devices such as the brand new One Plus 8 Pro come with a 120hz Screen which make gaming on it feel seamless and extremely smooth. The details. Higher Graphics such as HD and HDR require a lot more power and thus result in a drop of performance.

The sound system of PUBG Mobile is made with attention to detail as even sounds as small as footsteps and even greater sounds such as the firing of a gun are heard exactly at their point of origin using 3D surround.

These are the graphics settings we recommend on Android or iOS device for an optimal gaming experience (as played on my Samsung Galaxy S9+):

Call of Duty Mobile: This is a tough comparison as both games are on par with their stunning visuals of the environment. All though one thing i noticed is the lack of terrain details in CoD Mobile (looked really hard to notice that) which is something PUBG Mobile did not overlook but the guns, characters and object definition are all still spot on.

The sound system is similar to PUBG Mobile which pays attention to every detail in the game such as footsteps, guns firing and everything else in between. 3D audio surround comes as standard here as well as it is important to figure out the location of the opponent using this 3D audio surround.
